Today could possibly be the worst day of my life.
I was suppose to go to a NASCAR race with everyone I work with. Just a trip over to Harrisburg to get on a bus and that's it. It was extremely early in the morning and I was on my way. That didn't happen however.
I got robbed.
While sitting at a redlight, some random black guy gets in my car and tells me he needs a lift because his car just broke down. I knew it was a lie, but then this guy started talking about a gun and such. Despite all my pride, all the training I've recieved, and everything I thought I would do, I froze. I did exactly what he told me to in fear of my own life. He had me take him to some random house in the middle of Harrisburg in which I had no idea how to get back from. When we got there he had me empty out my wallet and anything I had in my pockets. It's probably fortunate my cel phone broke or else he would of taken that along with my cash. It wasn't much, only $20, which obviously dissappointed him, so he got out and left me be.
I was absolutely lost as that point, I drove around for 20 minutes just to find something familiar enough to me that I could get home from it. I missed the bus, but I'm alive. I'll have to explain this to everyone tomorrow at work too.
I was shaken, and broken for most of the morning. I'm not going to file a report because nothing will get done about it. I know enough about the Harrisburg police that a $20 theft doesn't mean jackshit to them. My mental blocks have already set in and I can't recall what he looked like or anything.
I wish I could hit reset and do today over again.
I love you Melissa.

I hate that something like that happened to you. I'm glad that you're ok, but the fact that it happened bothers me a lot.
It makes me angry that I live so far away.
